Abortion Access!
This article is about a law in Jersey (an island in the United Kingdom) being updated to modern standards to fit modern women. The law prevented some woman access to abortion and with this unanimous vote, they will now have access to the healthcare they deserve!
A woman who survived cervical cancer is advocating for other women to have a smear test done to save their lives as well! She says the minor un-comfortability is well worth it when you think of the bigger picture…so ladies, schedule that appointment.
Here’s a HUGE one for us American girlies…the federal government has FUH-INE-ALY ratified the Equal Rights Amendment in the constitution as the 28th amendment! President Joe Biden recognized the amendment’s ratification and a pew research poll found that 78% of americans believed that the ERA should be part of the constitution. This one hits close to home, I remember finding out (as an adult!) that the ERA was not ratified and being absolutely horrified…it’s a core memory and I am delighted to hear that American women are a little bit more protected.
Hell yes! This article is about one of the few female pilots in America (literally, globally the number of female pilots is estimated to be between 4-6%) and how she used to fly illegally in the seventies. The number of female pilots in America is rising, but it is still an almost entirely male dominated field. She was inspired to become a pilot by her mother who would jokingly threaten to get a pilots license.
